Don’t be crap

Posted in Business planning, Ideas, Marketing Insight, business, entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship, marketing, startups by Steve Sammartino on November 15, 2008

Love him or hate him, here’s another cool quote from Bono – which entrepreneurs can take with them:

“I don’t want to be in a crap band and any minute U2 become a crap band, we’re all out of here. And crap is not measured in sales, or even relevance. it’s about the sense of adventure.

Is it still there?  Are you still blowing your own mind?”

Love it! This is so “put-it-in-a-frame-and-hang-it-on-the-office-wall” worthy.

Sorry this is slightly off topic but allow me to share a Bono story with you:

Bono was mid concert, thousands of fans listening to his every word as he preached about third world poverty.

He clapped his hands together every few seconds. “every time I clap my hands, another child in Africa dies.”

One bright spark from the crowd shouted back “well stop clapping then!”

  3. [...] Don’t Be Crap. Love this Bono quote. Print it, frame it and read it on a regular basis.  [...]

    I’m not a fan of U2 but I’m a fan of that quote. :)
