The formula is love – Moby

I happened upon an interview with the musician Moby at SXSW in 2008 and he had something valuable to say about love:

The question was: “How do you recommend balancing yourself?”

His Answer:

“My advice first and foremost would be to do what you love. Um… because that way, if you do what you love, it increases the chance that you’re gonna have success with it. And even if you don’t have success, at least you spent your time doing something you love.”

I completely agree with this. A few years ago I was stuck in an industry that I hated. I thought it was the job itself, but after bouncing from one job to the next in the same industry I realized it was the industry not the job. I was thankfully laid off a couple of years ago, and went back to school to get a degree in marketing and advertising. I will be done with school next December, but I am already working part time as a Marketing Consultant after completing an internship. I LOVE IT!

I am so very happy that I have found this passion, because I don’t even really care how much money I am making, at least I am doing something that I love now.
