BMX Nostalgia

Might just be the most powerful emotion when it comes to Marketing. What’s also interesting is that we’ll often pay a significant premium to exercise this emotion. Here’s a conversation I just had on-line with a friend.

The question for startups is what other products, services and ideas can you bring back for wealthy adults to relive their childhood?

I remember watching this movie and both loving it and hating it. Loving it because it WAS a BMX movie and had ‘some’ good bits, but hating it because most of it was naff, and I even knew this as a 12 year old.

I guess I better start a new Pinterest board on Retro Stuff.

Awesome Post. PS Nicole Kidman was hot on a BMX. She started going down hill after Days of Thunder IMO.

Good point – we’ve started a website that aimed to cover that nostalgic desire, we also noticed people are way more likely to buy when drunk! http://www.imnotthatdrunk.com/category/nostalgia/
